Bee GardenMalaga is a multidisciplinary environmental organisation located in Yunquera, Malaga. Beekeeping is their passion and area of expertise, from producing their own honey and related products to raising awareness about the important role of bees and other pollinators in the environment, agriculture, and other environmental fields such as aquaculture and aquaponics.
They offer agrotourism experiences where, depending on the time of year, they explain the tasks carried out on a family farm located in the municipality of Yunquera, in the Sierra de las Nieves. There, you can learn about and participate infarming activities, as well as taste seasonal vegetables and fruits, especially sweet chestnuts and cherries.
Their Beekeeping workshops include a brief explanation about the life of bees and their contribution to sustainability, a beeswax candle workshop and a tasting and purchase of artisan honeys. The main attraction is the opportunity to observe and learn about bee life through a mobile hive, where you can safely watch the bees through glass, without the risk of being stung.
