In the first days of the month of May the brotherhood la Santa Vera Cruz (the greens) organizes events and religious cults, parades of bands and processions in honor of el Cristo de la Vera Cruz.

It´s a unique event where members of the brotherhood adorn their balconies with crosses and their green ensign, besides, they dress the street floor with carpets with Romero and other green herbs.
