Parish Church of San Ramón Nonato
In 1525, the town of Zurgena was granted the right to have its own church, the Parish Church of San Ramón Nonato, and was able to form a parish, without having to belong to the town of Huércal Overa as it had done until then.
The old part of the church was built where the mosque had previously been located, and the rest of the church was built on adjacent land. The work was completed in 1560, although it has since been refurbished several times. According to the construction date, we can say that the church's style is Neomudejar.
