Quesería de la Sierra Subbética
Located in Zuheros, a beautiful village in the Sierras Subbéticas Nature Reserve, Quesería de la Sierra Subbética produces a wide range of exquisite cheeses, with a prevalence for those made from goat's milk. Traditional recipes and careful, crafted preparation make these cheeses a veritable treasure of cheese gastronomy.
The final product is guaranteed by the quality of the milk used, all from farms located within the nature reserve. These are places where the animals can graze freely, making good use of the natural resources in this protected area. Cereals and pastures enabling the certification of numerous farms as organic production, enabling most of its cheeses to be produced under this system.
Quesería de la Sierra Subbética produces a wide variety of cheeses: soft cheese, pressed cheese and naturally cured cheeses, with paprika, rosemary or thyme, organic cheeses and sheep's milk and mixed cheeses.
Open every day, with visits to the dairy for groups of over 10 people by prior appointment and on request. They also have a restaurant: Los Balanchares.
