Al Lago
The menu at Al Lago combines the traditions of the Spanish kitchen with a lighter, contemporary approach using, fresh local produce prepared with the international influences.
The chef Stefan Crites, earned his chef stripes in the kitchens of New York before moving to Andalucía with his family. In warmer months our fishmonger scours the famous fish market in Cádiz for plump sardines, sea anenomies, sushi grade tuna, razor clams and sea bass which are grilled simply with rosemary from our garden. Lettuces, berries and vegetables are grown in nearby huertas (orchards) surrounding the village and are largely organic. In winter months local game and hearty stews feature on the menu. The area is renowned for it’s goats cheese and Iberian ham. The wine list showcases many wonderful local wines.
