Vélez-Rubio
The Vélez-Rubio Municipal Tourist Office is located on the first floor of one of the most important buildings in the historic-artistic town centre of Vélez-Rubio: the old Hospital Real. Building started in 1765 on the Carrera del Carmen, a street renowned for its notable public and private buildings from different periods and in different styles.
The building is currently divided into different rooms with various uses, one being that of the Office of Consumer Information and another the Miguel Guirao Regional Museum.
The Municipal Tourist Office provides services in 5 languages on: local and regional tourist information relating to monumental and natural heritage, rural accommodation in the area, hotels, local and regional restaurants, cuisine and typical products, as well as shops and services in the region, routes through the Sierra María-Los Vélez Nature Reserve, guide services for nature trails and urban visits in the region, the programme of cultural, festive and leisure activities, visiting times for monuments and guided tours for groups and associations, schools, groups of friends, families…
