Bodega Jorge Ordóñez & Co was established in Almáchar in 2004 and was the first in this town of La Axarquía in Malaga, a mountainous region with steep slopes and slate soil, next to the Mediterranean Sea. It is one of the oldest wine-producing areas in Europe, famous for its excellent raisins. As their production gradually increased, in 2008 the winery moved its facilities to Vélez-Málaga, where they are currently based.

With the 2004 harvest, the first wines were born of this winery with an innovative philosophy and constant search for quality, but always promoting the values of this wonderful and unique region.

Bodegas Jorge Ordóñez & Co. prepares, from ancient vineyards of local variety Moscatel de Alejandría, naturally sweet Málaga Designation of Origin wines and Sierras de Málaga Designation of Origin Sierras de Málaga dry muscatel wine. These wineries are part of a select group of Spanish boutique wineries by Grupo Jorge Ordóñez, who produce some of the most prestigious and internationally awarded wines, with twelve different designations of origin.

To see this exciting world, visits and tastings are available. A stroll through the vineyards will unveil steep slopes where the vineyards grow in this unique spot of La Axarquía. After the tour, visitors can taste the highly-regarded wines of the winery: White Botani, Red Botani, sparkling Botani and sweet wines.

Tours of the vineyard and wine tasting must be booked in advance. For groups of 4 to 60 people.
