Parish Church of Santa María
The Parish Church of Santa María of Urrácal was built in the 16th century. It is made up of a central nave and two side naves. At the entrance there is a space for the choir, with an oval ceiling where some paintings stand out. Above the altar is an oval dome with eight windows and magnificent paintings and inscriptions.
The Parish Church of Santa María has numerous images and one of the most important ones is the the recently restored San José de la Escuela de Salzillo. As you go in, we find the baptistry on the right, which is an area enclosed by iron and wood railings, with a marble basin located in the centre and a stained glass window. The choir is behind a wooden door and iron railings which are typical of the time when the church was built.
