Parroquia de Nuestra Señora de la O
Located in the mountain district of Ubrique, the current building of the parish church of Our Lady of the O is built in 1773. The basilica's layout has three longitudinal naves separated by robust Tuscan columns and semicircular arches. The central nave has a barrel vault and edges in the side naves.
The three naves meet in three chapels covered by semi-spherical domes set on pedentives, decorated with interconnecting murals. The central dome has a painting of the Holy Family and Holy Trinity, with a representation of the twelve Apostles in the side domes through individual paintings.
Regarding the chapels, the altarpiece in the central nave is dominated by the image of a Crucified Jesus of beautiful features and stylised anatomy, the work of the sculptor from Seville, Antonio Castillo Latrucci (1940)
The chapel of El Sagrario has a painting of the Immaculate Conception attributed to the Italian painter Lucas Jordán, with a particularly beautiful and splendid Sagrario of silverwork made by the workshops of Navas Parejo in Granada.
