Oleoturismo Almazara Cooperativa La Carrera

Almazara La Carrera is one of the largest olive oil mills in the city of Úbeda. It offers a showcase of the production of the finest juice obtained from olives: extra virgin olive oil. 

Visitors will discover first-hand how the local olive oil is produced and bottled. The tour lasts around two hours and provides an insight into the traditional method of producing oil, olives and their characteristics (planting, varieties and qualities), the classification, cleaning, weighing and pressing of the olives, and finally the extraction of the oil. Visitors will see the cellars and the bottling plant, and the tour will end with a short tasting session comprising four extra virgin olive oils from our own cooperative.

Tours take place every morning and every afternoon in Spanish and English.
