At Alfar Alfonso Góngora, we have been working with traditional Ubeda ceramics since 1846. During our 160 years of history, traditional production has evolved over six generations of potters, which has established us as one of the main representatives of the potters' guild in our town.
We are located in Úbeda, Jaén, an idyllic Renaissance city declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2003. Here, you can enjoy the fusion of history and modernity in both the city's surrounding area and its products.
In our pottery, we merge tradition and innovation, giving rise to two parallel currents; that of the 5th generation, led by Alfonso Góngora; and the most innovative one created by his son Alfonso, who day after day continues the search for new techniques and forms.
These various styles share a common denominator: a love of beauty, clay and the preservation of traditional techniques that have guided our pottery since our beginnings.
