The San Miguel Fair and Festival, one of the most important fairs in Jaen province, according to tradition, began on September 29, 1223, a patron feast on the day that King Fernando III the Saint captured the city.
This typical Andalusian fair also celebrates the end of summer and the beginning of autumn, the end of the harvest and the beginning of the agrarian year.
Over the course of these days, the city of Úbeda fills with joy and colour, and there is no shortage of bullfights, a prestigious sampling of theatre, numerous concerts, shows and all kinds of activities for the whole family.
