Sinagoga del Agua
El Agua Synagogue, which is located in the province of Jaen in the town of Úbeda, is thought to be an old Jewish synagogue discovered in 2007 in the monumental city of Úbeda by the Crespo-López family. It is a private initiative for the recovery of a building which was camouflaged within the walls of several buildings, where different families led a normal life, without noticing the grandeur of what was hidden within the interior walls of their houses.
The El Agua Synagogue leads to the wells and underground water galleries where the stone profiles and the capitals of the columns can be observed.
The El Agua Synagogue is on private property and it can only be visited in small groups accompanied by an authorised official guide.
