Palacio Marqués de Contadero
The Marqués de Contadero Palace was built in 1788, although it does have features from 16th century Renaissance. It appears offset, making a small square that makes it spacious, highlighting its monumental character with respect to the surroundings.
The entrance to the Marqués de Contadero Palace is a semicircular arch, flanked by Ionic columns with a smooth shaft. On the entablature stands a balcony, crowned by a pediment divided on corbels with two side crests and one in the centre. It has an attic of sorts, rather like a solarium (a viewpoint facing south), which is very characteristic of the buildings in this area. The grounds house the tourism office of the Regional Government of Andalusia in Úbeda.
