Palace of Don Luis de la Cueva
Formerly known as the "Casa de los Cueva", the Palace of Don Luis de la Cueva is a stately home located in the city of Úbeda, in the province of Jaén.
It was built in the 15th century and belonged to the Cueva family. The patio, with Mudéjar features, consists of a double lintelled gallery supported by octagonal columns.
The 17th-century façade has an arch with a Castilian-style keystone and with a coat of arms as the only adornment.
Then you continue along the Calle Ventanas that runs along the inside of city wall until you reach the Plaza de Josefa Manuel. In this peaceful little square you will find the magnificent, sombre façade of the Casa de los Cueva.
The Palace of Don Luis de la Cueva has been extensively refurbished and is now a multi-functional municipal centre with the most up-to-date facilities for holding events.
