Centro Temático del Vino Alpujárride
The Alpujárride Wine Thematic Centre is located in La Sierra de la Contraviesa in Torvizcón, Granada. It has the tallest, oldest cork oak grove of the Iberian Peninsula, the “Haza del Lino” and hills where vineyards, almonds and fig trees abound. Once there, we can also contemplate the entire expanse of Sierra Nevada and, when turning around, view the Mediterranean Sea from Adra to the mountains that flank the city of Motril.
The Alpujárride Wine Thematic Centre is surrounded by seven hectares of natural organic vineyard set within a typical Mediterranean forest, influenced by the bases of bioclimatic architecture, integrated in its surroundings and keeping low energy consumption levels. Thus, the building is largely underground. Likewise, it has strategic points of natural light that achieve a very cosy atmosphere.
