Parroquia de Santa María la Mayor
Located in Torreperogil and declared Place of Cultural Interest, the Santa María la Mayor Church has a Gothic layout (first decades of the 16th century). It is church with a single and slender nave with polygonal apse, divided into three sections separated by large, pointed rib arches resting upon four powerful buttresses on the exterior. It is covered with Gothic star-shaped vaults.
The sanctuary, continued by Andrés de Vandelvira, is covered by a star-shaped Gothic vaulted ceiling, whose members rest upon batons and corbels.
Worth mentioning are its two outdoor façades and stone altarpiece of the Descent, by Alonso de Vandelvira.
