Located in the town of Torreperogil, in the early 19th century there were still 4 towers of the Pero Xil de Zático Castle. Today, a visit can be made to four towers: the two original towers, one built on a foundation of the original tower and another simulated tower between the square and octagonal ones. You can also visit the cistern and an area of archaeological remains.

The towers are of masonry and have parapets in their indoor ceiling, indicating that they had machicolations, apparently dating to the 14th century.

An added value of the visit to this site and to the towers are the views from the height and strategic position of the fortification: the farmhouse of the town, Eras del Calvario, the fields (orchards, olive trees and vineyards) and the Guadalquivir Valley, with the Cazorla, Segura and Las Villas Mountains as the backdrop. Worth mentioning is the sea of olive trees, visible from the towers.

Tour every day (by prior appointment).

Free entrance.
