Playa La Carihuela
La Carihuela beach is located in the province of Malaga in the town of Torremolinos, in the well-known fishing district of La Carihuela. It is a fine, sandy, urban beach, with shady areas and a high level of services and infrastructures (hotels, apartments, bars, beach bars, restaurants, loungers for hire, showers, WC, water activities, shops of all kinds, etc.), a family atmosphere, highly appreciated and frequented by local residents and tourists.
It has an accessible beach and lifeguard service at Easter and during the summer season from 1 June to 30 September, right opposite the Tourist Office next to the Plaza del Remo.
The beach is easily accessible on foot and very well connected by road and by bus. The local line L-1 Aloha from the centre of Torremolinos stops all along La Carihuela and lines M-110, 112, 120, 121, 123 with different destinations stop at Av. Carlota Alessandri a few metres from the beach.
The suburban railway station of "Montemar Alto" is just a 15-minute walk from the heart of La Carihuela, next to the Parque de la Batería.
