Club Zaudín Golf
Zaudín Golf, three kilometres south of Seville is Gary Player's first design in Spain for twenty years. The parkland style layout traces its course through groves of orange, palm and olive trees. Fairways are wide and two lakes bring water into play on a number of holes, for example the par four 17th, which dogleg right towards a green almost surrounded by water.
Players consider this is one of the most beautiful holes he has created. Who are we to argue? The 3rd hole is difficult while the 4th at 492 metres is the longest on the course and bunkers wait to collect stray tee shots.
Similarly, at the par five 12th with its dogleg to the right the green is guarded by four bunkers. Greens are large but are well protected by bunkers of which there are seventy, plus a wide variety of vegetation.
The well equipped clubhouse is a Seville style hacienda.
