This adventure combines physical activity – sea kayaking – with the pleasure of enjoying and getting to know the magnificent Cabo de Gata - Níjar Nature Reserve from a unique perspective. Discovering the nature reserve's cliffs and caves from the sea by kayak, is an experience you won't forget in a hurry, as many spots can only be appreciated from this small boat. The kayak routes through Cabo de Gata are unique because this is one of the Spanish nature areas with the largest amount of protection designations, both natural and cultural. These designations are based on its geological, ecological, historical, anthropological and landscape richness.
- When you arrive at the meeting point, and after distributing the equipment (vest, paddle) and refreshments, the guide-instructors will teach the basics of paddling, handling and safety in sea kayaks.
- Once the tour begins, we will make small stops gradually spaced out to rest, and the guide will explain interesting facts and geological, biological, historical features about the area.
- During the tour, we will be able to enjoy the peculiar shapes of the volcanic coast of Cabo de Gata, and we will visit navigable caves.
- Some of the most fanciful formations in the nature reserve that we can visit are the barriers of volcanic reefs.
- A well-deserved rest halfway where we will take a dip, and make the most of this time to regain our strength, get hydrated and refresh ourselves for the rest of the route.
