Sierro Castle

Sierro Castle dates back to the pre-Islamic period, lies at the top of a farmstead and was used as a refuge and citadel, as it is built up from the upper part of town.

The medieval farmstead of Sierro is built around its historic castle, a fortress that still watches over the entire valley. Sierro Castle is perched atop the hill, in a completely strategic spot to watch over the vast valley below, where the crops are irrigated by the River Boloynta.
