Observatorio Astronómico de Sierra Nevada
The Sierra Nevada Astronomy Observatory, the highest in Europe at 2,896m, is located within the region of Loma de Loma de Dílar, in Sierra Nevada (Granada).
It is run and managed by the Andalusian Astrophysics Institute, and has two telescopes in Nasmyth configuration, with openings of 1.5m and 0.90m. The observatory opens its doors to the public in July and August. This organized, pre-booked tour teaches you about the main duties of these facilities.
