Sierra Mágina
The Sierra Mágina Nature Reserve, after which this region is named, is set in landscapes of unspoilt beauty, under a sky dotted with birds of prey such as golden eagles or peregrine falcons, and home to mammals like Spanish ibex and roe deer.
In this wild region, the traveller can visit a string of towns, which because of their role as frontier posts in the Middle Ages, are crowned by castles and Moorish fortresses, and are home to monumental buildings such as the cathedral-like parish church in Huelma, palaces, and civil constructions that speak of a magnificent historical past. Here you will come across charming towns like Jódar, Belmez de la Moraleda, Torres, Cambil, Pegalajar, Jimena and Albánchez de Mágina.
