Seville Opera Nights: Don Giovanni, The Barber and Carmen take over Seville's palaces
In a unique fusion of music and heritage, Seville becomes the setting for an exciting operatic series starting on 12 October: Seville Opera Nights. Organised by the Palace-Houses Association of Seville, in collaboration with Engranajes Culturales and Classical Passion & More, this event immerses opera lovers into a world of architectural beauty and music.
The Barber of Seville at La Caridad Hospital
The iconic Santa Caridad Hospital starts off with The Barber of Seville, an unforgettable operatic experience that will take the audience back to another era. With performances at 7pm and 9pm, this historic building will be filled with enchanting opera music on 12 and 28 October.
Don Giovanni in Casa de Salinas
The magnificence of Casa de Salinas is combined with Mozart's music and drama in Don Giovanni. On 21 October and 1 November, at 7pm and 9pm respectively, opera lovers will be able to enjoy an experience that will be a treat for their senses.
Carmen in Las Dueñas Palace
Las Dueñas Palace, with its rich history, will be the setting for a reduced and staged version of Bizet's Carmen. Accompanied by the piano, the characters of Carmen, Don José, Escamillo and Micalea will come to life in the main courtyard of the palace. The performance will take place at 25 October at 9pm, which is also World Opera Day, and on 11 November at 7pm and 9pm.
