Past View Magallanes
On a walk around the area surrounding the Torre del Oro (Seville), specifically a stroll alongside the Guadalquivir River - Marquis of Contadero - Past View Magallanes you will learn all about our heritage and cultural legacy by means of technological devices (Smart Glasses, Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality Glasses).
You will enjoy a magnificent sensory experience framed at the time when Admiral Ferdinand Magellan sailed from Seville heading for the East Indies. The objective is to sail across the Castilian seas, as they were named in the Treaty of Tordesillas, and reach the "Spice Islands". The great achievement of the expedition was to be the first to sail right around the globe.
A 360º virtual experience in which you will see what was the Port of Seville was like in the 16th century and get first-hand experience, through historical characters who were part of the crew and took part in the embarkation and the departure of the expedition.
An experience which teaches us about the past using the technology of the future. A different way of enjoying Cultural Tourism!
Accessible. For families (children from 11 years of age). In Spanish and English. Open: Winter from 10am to 7.30pm. (1 October to 31 May) / Summer from 9am to 1pm and 6.30pm to 11.30pm. (1 June to 30 September). Duration of the activity: 30 minutes / 20 sessions per day.
