Fundación Cristina Heeren de Arte Flamenco
Cristina Heeren Flamenco Art Foundation is a private non-profit foundation created in 1993 by Cristina Heeren, American citizen, Hispanist, patron and lover of the art of Andalusian flamenco. Between 1996 and 2006, it was located at the Casa de Pérez Comendador in the Seville district of Santa Cruz, although it now has two seperate locations. The main one in the Heliópolis district, which handles the administration and gives singing and guitar lessons, and the second in the El Juncal district, where we give dance classes.
The aim of the Cristina Heeren Flamenco Art Foundation is the promotion, education and conservation of flamenco, both in Andalusia and Spain, and anywhere else considered appropriate. It is essentially privately founded and the main beneficiaries are young enthusiasts from all over the world, with special emphasis on new talent from Andalusia.
