Where the Avenida de la Constitución meets the Calle Santo Tomás, the Torre Abdelaziz, that takes its name from the Emir Abd al Aziz Ibn Musa who governed Seville from 714 to 719 AD, stands on the corner of the estate designed in 1919 by Aníbal González.
It used to connect the Reales Alcázares with the Torre de la Plata, in the Calle Santander. The Torre de Abdelaziz also has a profound significance since tradition has it that this is where the banner of San Fernando was raised for the first time after the city was conquered in 1248.
