Parroquia de San Pedro
In the Gothic-Mudejar style, the church of San Pedro in Seville was built in the 14th century and remodelled in the 16th and 18th centuries. The building has three naves, two doorways and a bell tower.
The main façade is attributed to Vermondo Resta (1612) and has a semicircular arch between Mudejar-style pilasters, with 3 circular stained-glass windows, the central and largest of which shows Saint Peter, and the side windows Saint Paul and Saint John. The second doorway, opening onto the Plaza de San Pedro, has a semicircular arch between twin pilasters and a niche over the arch housing a stone statue of Saint Peter dating from 1624, by Martin Cardino.
The tower is next to the side door and is in two easily differentiable sections: the first and oldest is in the Mudejar style, whilst the second, housing the bells, dates from the 16th century. Dating from 1597, the tower is finished with an impressive tiled spire by Martín Infanta.
