In Seville and near the Guadalquivir River, the Port of Seville Museum uses the river as a common theme for a linear route, although visitors can also focus on the parts of the museum which interest them most.

It has five exhibition rooms. Room I focuses on the remote origins of the Port of Seville, when the port began to carve out its own identity. Room II takes us through the history of the port, from medieval times up to the second half of the XXth century, when the port expanded dramatically.

In Room III, visitors can learn about man's domain over the course of the Guadalquivir River during the early XXth century. While Room IV and V tell us about the present day and the future of the modern port, respectively.
