The Jardines de la Caridad (Gardens of Charity) are located in the Paseo Colón, next to the Maestranza Theatre and opposite the Hospital de la Caridad. This green space in the heart of the historical town centre of Seville has a surface area of 2,800 square metres.
One of the most important features of the Jardines de la Caridad is the monument to Miguel de Mañara. This monument represents the founder of the Hospital de la Caridad carrying a sick person in his arms, a work by Antonio Susillo that stands on a red marble pedestal.
