The Edificio de la Adriática is located between the Avenida de la Constitución and the street now called the Calle Fernández y González, that many people in Seville now know as "El Faro" or the "Edificio Filella" after the pastry shop that there used to be on the ground floor.
It was designed by the Architect José Espiau y Muñoz in 1914, for the La Adriática insurance company and it is a beautiful example of Neo-Mudéjar architecture that is a combination of Moorish, Plateresque and clearly regional features.
The building was constructed at the time of the Ibero-American Exposition of 1929.
