The Convent of Nuestra Señora de la Consolación was founded in Triana in 1565. It is located in the Calle Pagés del Corro in Triana. Usually closed, the chapel only opens for mass at 8 am on weekdays and 10:30 am on Sundays. The nuns belong to the Minims Order of Saint Francis of Paola.
The exterior has a simple neo-Gothic façade bearing the motto of the Minims (Cháritas). On the left of the façade is the tile of the Esperanza de Triana, the bell tower in two sections and the door of the Foundation of Father Leonardo del Castillo, Costaleros para un Cristo Vivo. To the right there are four windows of the convent and between them the tile of the Cristo de las Penas of the Brotherhood of La Estrella.
The chapel, also known as the Monastery of Minim Nuns, has a single nave covered with a barrel vault. The whitewashed walls are decorated with pictures of the Apostles. At the foot is the choir, with the cloister below. At the head of the nave is the main altarpiece in the rococo baroque style dating from the 18th century, containing the carved image of Nuestra Señora de Consolación in her shrine.
