The Birthplace of Luis Cernuda is located at number 6 in the Calle Acetres, between the Calle Cuna, the Calle Buiza and the Calle Mensaque, in Seville, where the universal poet was born.
It is a two-storey building featuring a façade with a tile and a headstone. The former refers to his date of birth (21 September 1902), and the latter includes a fragment of his work entitled "Ocnos".
The Birthplace of Luis Cernuda is included in the General Catalogue of Andalusian Historical Heritage under the category of Asset of Cultural Interest and it enjoys level "C" protection.
The City Council acquired it with the intention of turning it into a new cultural venue linked to literature and poetry and which recalls the figure of the poet.
