The Casa de Murillo is located at number 8 in Calle Santa Teresa, in the Santa Cruz neighbourhood, and was the penultimate home and residence of the artist. It was the home of Bartolomé Esteban Murillo, a prominent Spanish Baroque painter, and where the artist established his workshop where he worked for the final years of his life.
The Casa de Murillo is a typical Sevillian mansion, with two floors and an attic, with the rooms distributed around a central patio with four galleries and semicircular arches over the columns. The building was officially declared to be of Cultural Interest on 8 March 1995, and has been reformed a number of times, especially in the 20th century.
