The Triana 1888 Suites Tourist Accommodation is located in one of the best known neighbourhoods in the city of Seville, the Barrio de Triana, located on the banks of the Guadalquivir River, joined to the capital city of Andalusia by the famous Puente de Triana bridge, one of the hallmarks of the neighbourhood and called the Puente de Isabel II. It is also renowned for being the oldest Iron Bridge in Spain and replaced the primitive Puente de Barcas, it has been a National Historical Monument since 1976.

Once over the Triana Bridge you come to the Plaza del Altozano, the true heart of the neighbourhood, as can be seen by the architecture from the first quarter of the 20th century. Next to this square you will find the Chapel of El Carmen, by the famous architect Aníbal González in 1928 and the Mercado de Trian market, on the ground floor of which you will find remains of the old Castle of San Jorge, the headquarters of the Inquisition from 1481 onwards.

The main historical roadways fan out from the square: The Calle San Jorge, where you will find the Ceramics Museum, the old ceramics factory of Santa Ana that dates back to 1870; The Calle Castilla, where you will find the Iglesia Nuestra Señora de la O, a church built between 1697 and 1702; The Calle de San Jacinto, the old road leading to the Aljarafe and where you will find the Iglesia de San Jacinto, an old convent built in 1676 for the Order of Los Dominicos; The Calle Pureza with the Iglesia de Santa Ana from 1280 in the Gothic-Mudéjar style, the oldest in Seville founded by order of King Alfonso X and the Chapel of Los Marineros; The Calle Betis, where some of the 19th-century quays, called "las zapatas" are preserved, and where you will find the Casa de las Columnas, built in 1780 as the old University of Mareantes, an institute that was responsible for training the sailors for the crews manning the ships that sailed to America in the 16th and 17th centuries.

Without doubt an extraordinary neighbourhood to take a stroll and enjoy the streets that are full of history and life: Triana.
