The Cornicabra del Puente Valley stands out due to its size, hence its recognition and inclusion in the list of Unique Trees and Groves in Andalusia. The trunk, inclined towards the north, has a unique thickness, with a circumference of over 1 metre, measured 1.30 metres from the ground. The crown has a very wide umbrella shape. comprising two main branches that form a dense foliage in which the leaves are more abundant on the outside than the inside. In total it reaches a height of eight metres.

It is a unique botanical species, located between the districts of Serón, and Alcóntar near the Puente del Valle (Valley Bridge), where the Las Herrerías river is carved out between two limestone walls, making this area known as La Cerrá to locals.

Meanwhile, the precipice only has rupicolous vegetation, whilst the bottom of the precipice is covered with grape vines formed by poplar and tamarisks and, far from the canal, is broom and juniper. Here, where the ground is flat, it is totally covered by grasses.

Near the Nature Reserve of Sierra de Baza, in addition to the area's historic and ethnographic heritage Menas del Serón mines), the source ofthe Almanzora offers an interesting Green Wayfor you to enjoy with non-motorised vehicles.

This unique botanical example forms part of an outstanding series of unusual trees that are dotted around the Valle del Almanzora Valley and its slopes: Acerolo del Cortijo de las Iglesias, Cornicabra del Puente de El Valle, Encina de El Marchal de El Abogado Oak Tree, Chopo de El Marchal de El Abogado Poplars, Encina de la Fuente el Pino Oak Trees, Encina de los Trébedes Oak Trees and Olivo de las Lomas Olivce Trees.
