Ayuntamiento de Segura de la Sierra - Antiguo Colegio de los Jesuitas
The Town Hall of Segura de la Sierra, old College of Jesuits, is a building with two floors separated by a cornice. The exterior gathers the most interesting features: the doorway, the main façade and a side window.
The Renaissance doorway has a door with a lintel arch, flanked by grooved wood columns upon a pedestal with entablature, whose frieze supports the corbels that sustain the balcony of the second section; it has a central section crowned by pediment with pyramidal pinnacles, with the balcony's door and two lower doors on the side, with arms.
The window, likewise Renaissance, is rectangular, framed by pilasters and entablature, with a carbel upon its cornice, in the centre, and pinnacles on its ends. It is decorated with sculpted wood plates on the pilasters and frieze of the entablature.
Free access without charge.
