Santiago de la Espada
This mountain village forms part of the Santiago-Pontones municipality, and is situated on the banks of the Zumeta River, to the north east of the province, near the limit with the provinces of Granada and Albacete. It is on the side of a mountain, overlooking a vast valley of fertile orchards.
Its village centre is harmonious and well-kept, made up of clean streets and white houses. It has several interesting monuments, such as the Parish Church of Santiago Apóstol, el Hornillo, the Casa Tercia House and Pilate's Balcony.
The village forms part of the Sierras de Cazorla, Segura and Las Villas Natural Park.
