Museo de la batalla de las Navas de Tolosa

Jaén, the year 1212. Battle of the Navas de Tolosa definitively changed the course of history in Spain. The Christian troops led by King Alfonso VIII of Castille against the Almohad followers of the Caliph al-Nasir.

The Museum of the Battle of the Navas de Tolosa, located on the battlefield, in the Nature Reserve of Despeñaperros in the Province of Jaén, evokes that trascendental battle and presents the fascinating Castles and Battles Route.

At the end, visitors are invited to criticaly reflect on the conflicts we live with today, making a small contribution to the culture of peace.
