The Church of Santa María is located in the Sevillian district of Sanlúcar la Mayor. Built in the 13th century, it has additions from the 16th and 17th centuries.

The tower was modified in the late 18th century, in 1772, due to the partial collapse of the existing church by the Lisbon of that time, adding the bells and pyramidal spire. The tower still preserves its original ramp structure for ascending it. The church is built with three naves covered by aljarfe ceilings and separated by horseshoe arches supported by pillars and four twin columns.

The Church of Santa María is crowned by an end covered with Gothic crosswork and joined to the central nave by an arch. The left nave has an altarpiece reflecting the Crucifixion of San Pedro, dating from the 14th century and of tremendous artistic and historic value. The sacristy houses a treasure of precious metalwork with works of great value in different styles and metals. The images inside it are mainly works from the 17th and 18th centuries.
