This festivity, which has been declared of Andalusian Tourist Interest, is considered to be the oldest celebration, together with the horse races, in Sanlúcar de Barrameda.
The festivity was first held in 1955 with old floral games to enhance the beauty of the Guadalquivir River. It consists of a series of celebrations such as the Shawl Festivity and the Rocío Festivity.
Today it is one of the most unique celebrations, and all the towns on the banks of this great Andalusian river take part.
