Novo Sancti Petri golf course, the first one designed in Spain by the indomitable and demanding Ballesteros, has been laid out so that players can enjoy the entire philosophy of the game and of Seve’s indomitable spirit in its purest form.
36 holes divided into two rounds of par 72 (round A: Sea – Pines, and round B: Centre). The first 27 holes were opened in 1990, and the remaining 9 were opened in April 2001.
In this varied round at the Novo Sancti Petri golf course, the first nine holes just opposite the caddy master are flat, with a lake between holes 5, 8, and 9. From holes 10 to 13, the terrain is undulating and offers excellent views over the Atlantic Ocean, with water hazards between holes 10 and 13. Holes 5 to 13 were opened in 2001. There is another lake between holes 14, 15, and 16. On the 18th hole, the course designer immortalised himself with a bunker shaped like an "S" for Severiano.
The course, which is also a par 72, has an especially attractive design that is rarely seen, characterised by 6 par 3 holes, 6 par 4 holes, and 6 par 5 holes, which make it different, demanding, and unmistakeable
