San Juan del Puerto
Village situated in Tierra Llana and which belongs to the region of Condado. It is surrounded by farming land dedicated to the growing of cereals, vines and olive trees. As monuments of interest, it has a Roman bridge and St John the Baptist"s Church.
History
The first human settlements date from the Iberian and Roman period.During the Al-Andalus period it belonged to the kingdom of Niebla.
It was called San Juan and San Juan del Camino until the year 1468, year in which Juan Alonso de Guzman gave it its definitive name of San Juan del Puerto.
