San José
The huge windows of the Restaurante San José, overlooking the bay and the port of San José, fill the dining rooms with light and the blue of the sky and the sea. It is part of the facilities of the Hotel Doña Pakyta, in the heart of San José.
The Restaurante San José is renowned for its intricate Mediterranean cuisine using fresh products from the sea, fish which is fried grilled or salt-baked. The menu also features rice dishes and locally-grown vegetables. As a starter we recommend the fantastic aubergine pie with goat cheese and crispy ham, and for dessert, the renowned black and white chocolate puff pastry.
Local red and white wines have pride of place on the wine list, although there is also a wide and varied selection of Spanish wines.
The highlight of the restaurant is the terrace with views of the beach and the bay, ideal for enjoying the delights of the menu. There is also a beach bar for tapas at midday, before lunch, or a cocktail at sunset looking out to sea with the best music.
