Cabo de Gata Experience

The scene of Cabo de Gata Astronomy's activity is Cabo de Gata - Níjar Natural Park, which enjoys one of the best night skies and top conditions for astronomic observation along all the Mediterranean Coast. This is in addition to clear skies and optimal temperature for outdoor activities.

Its main aim is to develop guided activities that allow the best observation of the stars and interpretation of the night sky. To do this, it has some magnificent settings: Los Genoveses Beach, Mónsul, Playazo de Rodalquilar and La Majada Redonda Volcano.

The options available at Cabo de Gata Astronomy revolve around three activity programmes:

• Observation of stars, astronomy and gastronomy.
• Night hiking and orienteering through the stars.
• Night photography courses.

All activities are available in Spanish, English and French.

Constellations, mythology, galaxies,… You can experience the magic of nights on the Cabo de Gata in ways you never would have imagined: star gazing with the naked eye, binoculars and telescopes so you can enjoy the details of the celestial heavens.
