Route along the coast of Cadiz
The coastline of Cádiz has the best beaches of the entire Iberian peninsula, the most idyllic landscapes and the most unique and exquisite gastronomy which, together with its wines, make this route an unforgettable trip to the south of the south.
Don't skip the historic centres of Chiclana de la Frontera, Conil de la Frontera, El Puerto de Santa María, Puerto Real, Rota, San Fernando, Sanlúcar de Barrameda, San Roque, Tarifa and Vejer de la Frontera, as well as their museums, restaurants and hotels. These towns bring together a great ancestral heritage related to farming and the transformation of the sea's resources and need for defence.
The prehistoric pictorial expressions in shelters and caves, and the first communications systems and settlements, the path of the Vía Heráclea or the first populations resulting of Romanisation, amongst which are worth highlighting the city of Baelo Claudia in Tarifa and Carteia in San Roque.
