This is a landscape dominated by farmland, which shares space with wind turbines and old windmills. A vegetation represented by Garrigue and Mediterranean bushes, which provide shelter for fauna of small mammals, like genets, badgers and foxes, and some birds: peregrine falcon, kestrels and billhooks.
On reaching the village of San Ambrosio, the equestrian itinerary takes a paved road which leads to Pinar de la Breña. From here until Barbate, the route runs through the interior of the Nature Reserve. After exceeding a cattle grid, the route follows a sand trail that appears on the left and leads to the destination.
