The equestrian route known as the IE-024.1 Laguna de Medina - Rajamancera runs between the Laguna de Medina (Medina Lake) Nature Reserve and the Rajamancera district of Jerez, bordering the Reserve and travelling through the fields of crops in the Campiña countryside. The route connects with the IE022.1 Laguna de Medina - Las Pachecas and, shortly, with the IE-024.2 El Torno - La Barca de la Florida.

At an international level, the Campiña de Jerez countryside is famous for its Designation of Origin wine, which can be tasted on the Jerez Region, but also for its natural wealth, because it is irrigated by the Guadalete river and features some wetlands, such as the Lagunas de Medina and Torrox.

Route

Starting at Laguna de Medina, the first section of the route borders the Nature Reserve in a southeast direction to information panel number 4, near Cortijo de las Caballerías. There, it turns towards the northeast leaving Caserío de las Caballerías Bajas on the left. After crossing Arroyo de Fuente stream, it runs between Cortijo de Fuente Bermeja – on the right – and Cortijo de las Cuevas – on the left.

Continuing in the same direction, it crosses Arroyo de Chipipi and, shortly after, reaches the last segment of the path, running northwards towards the district of Rajamancera in Jerez, where the route ends.

Type of Trail: Linear (two-way). Status of the Trail: Approved and signposted. Total length: 7.0 km. Starting point: Laguna de Medina. Finishing point: District of Rajamancera.
