Granada by the TransAndalus
The TransAndalus from Almeria covers the province of Granada, revealing the magical sensations caused by the strong contrasts between the regions on either of its routes: one heading north and the other crossing the south of the province.
The northern route of the province of Granada, goes from the Sierra de los Filabres of Almería to the Sierra de Cazorla in Jaén, going through the Altiplano de Baza among watercourses and woods on the riverbanks.
The circuit for the south of Granada, crossing from west to east, joins the provinces of Malaga and Almería. This route, which mainly follows the Andalusia's grand trail, the GR 7, offers an attractive view of impressive landscapes. It goes through the regions of Alhama and Temple, bordering the Nature Reserve of the Sierras de Alhama, Tejeda and Almijara, the picturesque Valley of Lecrín -Valley of Happiness, among orange trees and irrigation channels, the purity of Sierra Nevada and the secluded Alpujarra, full of nooks and unique villages brimming with history and popular traditions.
